POSTER SPECIFICATION
We are image artists and not involved in printing posters. We would prefer to sell you the image you want allowing you to print or have it printed to meet your needs. If you really have a difficulty we can work with you to define your order and get it placed in your name with a quality printer. To be able to do this you need to go through a process of defining your needs which we describe below. We do this with the aid of the Whitewall website.
​Whitewall is one of the highest quality printers who offers a range of quality products. We work only with Witewall because we have some knowledge of them and their products, but are sure there are other quality printers you can use should you prefer. We give Whitewall's website as a place where you can get information on formats, sizes, material, costs, images etc.

In specifying a piece of wall art the following must be specified

FORMAT
​
You need to decide what you want to buy from simple photographic poster prints on quality paper up to gallery standard gicłee prints, frame mounted canvas, metal and a variety of prints under acrylic glass.

SIZE
​
Size is most important because it has to match your space and generally be of a significant size. But large prints are expensive and difficult to handle, a 3 by 2 m print under acrylic glass would cost over 7000 €.

Judging the size you need is difficult and can be assisted by the diagrams below or by using a computer apps that lets you hang you art virtually on photographs of your space. The White wall site offers such an application.

ASPECT RATIO
​
The ratio of width to height is important because of its effect on the cost of non standard prints, the ease of fitting it into your space and because it can be an aspect of art which needs to be maintained come what may.

MATERIALS
​
The detailed options like paper quality, matt or glossy, acrylic glass thickness, frame colour and canvas edge finish will need to be selected.

FRAME
​
Although simple block mounting is popular, framing with all its options also needs to be decided.

HANGING
​
Although there seems to be a movement to simply leaning prints against the wall, there is also a need to choose the hanging system if or in case they require hanging.
